The hull itself was easy and goes quick... the devil is in the details.. sanding , fairing , painting and sanding somemore. If you plan to row.. it will go quick.. if you add the parts for sailing it will add a lot of time. The scuppered inwhales added a lot of unessasary time also. I have had fun and have learned a lot... the fiberglass was easy... buy devlins book it explains a lot and read and search the internet for others that have done stitch and glue.. plenty of info out there. I saw that devlin has plans for the swing keel now on his site. If you have any more questions fire away... Ronnie

Ronnie, I like Devlin's boat plans and am interested in the Egret. This will be my first boat build. Is it doable? Did you get designs from Devlin for a swing keel? How hard was it to do all the fiberglass? Mike
